Morning Haiku

dogs bark while deer chase
morning sun as prairie grass
blanket pulls my feet

I see your haiku and raise with a tanka:

Violet clusters
Punctuate treelines among
Our homes. Green dappled
By bursts as we dig in, plant,
And fret over garden dreams.
